Melissa George joins Triangle
According to Hollywood Reporter, Melissa George former star in HBO's popular series Alias, is currently negotiating for the female lead part in Christopher Smith's supernatural thriller film Triangle. Chris Brown and Jason Newmark are producing the movie set to be shot on the Gold Coast, Australia. Producers are in "discussions" with several other famous Australian actors.
Director Christopher Smith is well known for his bloody flick Severance yet this time he has promised something a little more unusual.
You are most definitely familiar already with Aussie actress Melissa George from other two thrillers The Amityville Horror and 30 Days of Night. Other worthy roles include David Lynch's Mulholland Drive and Proyas' cult fave Dark City.
The plot goes around a crew of five passengers on a yachting trip in the Atlantic Ocean. The ship sinks due to weather conditions so they are forced to look for refuge on another ship. The new vessel seems to be nothing like they imagined.
Here, things will only go from bad to worse. It already sounds very interesting yet this is only the beginning.
The former soapie star will portray one of the passengers, a woman with mental disorder problems. It seems that we are going to see three different versions of the story through the multiple personalities of Melissa's character. Mel Gibson's Icon will release the film in the UK and Oz.
