Melissa George and Lipstick Jungle

Melissa George's combination of natural talent and irresistible charm has helped her become one of the most promising actresses in Hollywood.

Melissa's film credits include Mulholland Drive, Down with Love, Dark City, The Limey and Sugar & Spice.

The former Alias star had initially joined the cast of Lipstick Jungle, NBC's American TV comedy-drama created by Eileen Heisler and DeAnn Heline.

NBC Universal Television is moving forward with a tv adaptation of Candace Bushnell's best-selling book.Lipstick Jungle  follows three high-powered women who are in their 40s, dealing with their relationships and jobs in New York. The new dramedy is said to be the next 'Sex and the City'.

George was supposed to star as Nico O'Neilly, a highly appreciated editor of a popular magazine on Politics, fashion and celebrities. The second role - industry top executive Wendy Healy was given to actress Gina Gershon. Later on, Brooke Shields has landed the role of Wendy. Lindsay Price was cast as fashion designer Victory Ford.

The former Home and Away bombshell decided to quit the show, to join the cast of the new hbo drama In Treatment, produced by Marc Wahlberg and based on a hit Israeli series. There are rumors claiming that Melissa's departure was also due to creative differences.

The Aussie actress will remain probably best knows for her role as Lauren Reed, the evil yet sexy wife of Vaughn.
